Go Samrakshanam – One of the objectives of Sree Jnanambika Research Foundation For Vedic Living

As a part of Gosamrakshanam, our trust had accepted the godanam given by a well wisher. Without gomatha, there is no Veda samskara . For the yajnas and poojas we need cows ghee and milk.“Manushyanam Payohitham”.says veda. We are planning to have more cows in our goshalai. We are looking for the sponsorship for cows food and maitainance. Those who are interested to become part of this divine project can sponsor for a day expenses for a cow in a month which will come around Rs 500..

Gomatha

Gomatha has the presence of all devathas and in her back, Mahakashmi presence is their, says sasthra. Hence gomatha is considered as the mother of all. In our vedapadasala, we have a cow named “Gomatha” which is a part of our daily rituals. The milk and ghee from Gomatha are used in our poojas and homams. Gomatha is also a part of our daily life in the Patasala, where students learn Vedic scriptures and perform rituals.

Deivathin Kural: Mahaperiyava quote One of the slokas which Syavana Maharishi says about the cow.

Nivishtam gokulam yathra swasam munchathi nirbhayam Virajayathi tham desam papam chasyapakarshathi

The meaning of the sloka is: That country where cows have no fear of any cruelty being inflicted on them and live acefully in gokula, all sins will go and will shine.Gopooja charges – Rs 2500
